Motivated by an internship at an information relais of the European Commission I planned a tour through new member countries of EU in August 2006.
Our - Mathias Dumont was my fellow - aim was to visit Praha (Czech), see Bratislava in Slovakia, Bucharest in Romania, stay in Bulgaria' capital (Sofia), and at last reach Budapest in Hungary.
We wanted to meet urban youths and peers to ask them about their attitude towards Europe and its possibilities.
The one way to reach locals and find conversation is travelling via train and hospitalityclub, other ones are skateoarding and photography. Thanks to International Office of Friedrich-Schiller University and to Culture Office of stw-thueringen for giving the grants to realize the following exhibition (May to October 2007). Even there are hundreds of analog (!) pictures more than I posted, we had to select according to several (visual, social, sportive, etc.) aspects. We called the exhibition "Skating Newrope" and thank all the people showed below, helped us and been sudden alike us...
